Killer Instinct

So recently the creators showed off a new character called Shin Hisako(Basically a clone of Hisako but she plays VERY differently). You can't play as her just yet but you can fight her.



That was a really fun match for me. More fun than the original Hisako even. Can't wait until I can play as her.

Man Killer Instinct is like the only fighting game I haven't seriously tried. I mean I'm not THAT good at fighting games but I do enjoy playing them. I really need to try this one out

yes you do, just download the free version. It comes with 1 character and the free character rotates each week, unless you don't have an xbox/Microsoft account or internet in which case it stays locked on jago. that's literally the only thing I hate about this game and that's you have to stay logged in to do everything. but aside from that 1 flaw this game is simply amazing from its music to its wide range of characters(I seriously need to type up a review for this but not right now). but yea how many other fighting games can say you can make a gargoyle punch a fire breathing cybernetic-dinosaur in the face.

the game gives you the option to buy individual characters, which is fine if your broke. but since the roster has gotten bigger since its initial launch, if it turns out you like every/most of the characters you'll end up spending more in the long run than if you saved up and bought the full on package, in the end its up to you if you want everything or not though so what eves.

But seriously just try it, its literally free to try and even if you don't like this weeks free character you'll eventually get a chance to play as everyone, you got freaking ghost, mythical beast, robots, a battletoad(literally from the game battletoads)

and stop with the "not good a fighting games" excuse, the controls are really simple and it has a really good tutorial(in this case Dojo mode)

also I hope you have an xbox 360 or one controller if you decide to play the pc version because no other controller will function and keyboards suck for fighting games

Ah shit I forgot it was free. I have a PlayStation 4 controller lmao I could also use my GameCube controller too...

oh, you also need windows 10 for the pc version, I believe it was made that way so that they could do cross platform play between the console and pc.

as for your controller you could maybe use those 3rd party programs that emulate a 360 controller. not entirely sure if it works with KI  but they work for other games so there's that. even so the 360 controller is pretty cheap these days, and depending on the manufacturer you can probably get on that feels REALLY comfortable in your hand. this brands my personal fav http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/accessories/xbox-360-licensed-wired-controller/136258

there's also the programs that let you map keyboard buttons to your controller, I know 1 program called control mk, there are others but I forgot their name.

its not necessarily a question of fairness, back when the game was announced in 2013, Microsoft gave the dev team(which was double helix at the time) a limited time and budget to get it out(really dumb I know) to make up for this they focused solely on the characters(and their respective backgrounds) which is how the free to play but you can pay for characters you want while ignoring the ones you don't system came to be. their time was limited so even though things like stage finisher's and ultimates were in the original games for the sake of making this new game as good as possible they had to be scrapped. eventually Iron Galaxy became the developers but from what I heard they supposedly have the same issue and have been focusing on just characters and recently added story mode for the past few years. however before double helix left they made a hidden boss character and gave him the only ultimate in the game at the time.



Now that most of the roster is complete though Iron Galaxy started making ultimates, aria's ultimate makes the 10th made by IG. and they even made changes to Shago's ultimate.
