I'm very new at animating with Flash.

I use Macromedia Flash MX 2004, which is a really old version, but I'm pretty sure it can still get the job done fairly well. When it comes to spriting, I'm decent, and have lots of experience, but actually animating in Flash is something I'm fairly new at. I have watched tons of Flash animations on Youtube, so I know what the end result looks like, but I don't know how to do stuff like tweening, etc. Would anyone be nice enough to offer me some in depth help with this? I know there are a lot of tutorials, but help from someone in real time would be much easier on me.
I'm asking because I have plans for a Sonic animation series. And don't worry, I ain't using the Advance/Battle sprites. Those sprites are good and all, but they are very overused, and a tad cartoony for the style I'm going for. I will be using my own sprites for this animation. I know it's going to take a long while before I get as good as... lets say Alvin Earthworm, but I'm hoping for the first episode of my series, that I can at least match the quality of the fourth episode of his series for instance. But that will take lots of time and practice to get that good.
If you are willing to help me out, message me on either Skype, or Discord.

MX 2004 is pretty old yeah. can't you at least get 8? it's mostly the same, although if i recall correctly some features were only finished there.
as for the rest of your post, you can just ask your questions in the help channel in the server. i don't think there's someone here always available for one-on-one help - i could be wrong, but it's unlikely.

Well, MX 2004 doesn't cost money. And I don't feel like doing a stupid monthly subscription thing.

Macromedia Flash 8 Doesn't cost money, you can get it for free. Its the animation program I used for a while.
Another alternative is Vectorian Giotto but thats discontinued and doesn't have most of the features of even macromedia
