Video 8 never truly explained it, but how do I make sprite B's attack overlap sprite A's?

do I just move the layers back and forth, or is there something I need to do?

Put it over that layer, if you had them in different layers for another scene, make a newer layer do to something on.

Holy shit. I just spent hours on end wondering how the fuck I tween blend effects, invert specifically. I thought it was impossible.

In desperation I return here to see if I missed anything. Eric, you're awesome. I had no idea the invert effect affected EVERYTHING underneathe it's layer. This solves my problem exactly. Cheers again. Once for teaching me how to sprite, and once again for giving me a refresher.

Eric if ur ever online please reply. Every time I wanna preview my Flash animations the quality is always in a bad condition/ And when I try to export sound into my windows flash 8 it always shows an error please, please reply. If not Eric than maybe another experienced animator

You must not have changed your graphics from .jpg to .gif.

Well first make sure that your files on your computer are in PNG format. They should be if it looks pretty good when you animate in Flash. Now, to make sure you keep that good quality you gotta go and change all of your bitmaps so that they are uncompressed (so that you get the full quality).

To do this just right-click your bitmaps and choose "Properties" then in the dialog box that pops up you want find the drop-down box near "Compression" and change that to lossless. It should look fine then.
